It is with great sadness that the trustees of the Cardiovascular Research Trust The Healthy Heart Charity announce the death of Professor Donald Singer, its founder and Chair. Donald passed away on Saturday 11th June 2022 having suffered a cardiac arrest.
Donald founded the Trust in 1996 and led its work with passion and conviction until his untimely death. He will be remembered for his immense knowledge of cardiovascular health and pharmacology, his enthusiasm for research and, above all, the warmth with which he carried out his role as Chair.
The trustees will consider how best to remember Donald’s enormous contribution to the Trust, and medicine more widely, in due course.
He leaves behind his wife, Fiona, and three children and two grandchildren. Our thoughts are with them.
