Leslie Morgan OBE DL joined the Cardiovascular Research Trust as a Patron in June 2015.
Leslie has pioneered the donation of in date pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to charities in developing countries. Over £22 million of products have been donated via Durbin to patients in need.
Durbin provides first rate efficiencies in the supply of pharmaceuticals and medical items to multilateral agencies such as Red Cross, WHO, UNICEF and NGO’s around the world as well as commercial organisations and CRO’s.
Leslie was awarded an OBE in 2013 for services to the Pharmaceutical Industry and Charity, and also awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
He is Chairman of The Morgan Charitable Foundation and a Liveryman with The World Traders and also the Blacksmiths Company. In 2014, Leslie was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) of Greater London.
Leslie joined Durbin Pharmacy as the Pharmacist Manager and bought the company in 1999. He has built one of the world’s leading specialist Pharmaceutical and medical distributors supplying 23,000 different products to 180 countries.
It specialises in niche areas which are not currently served by the normal Pharmaceutical Sales chain. Durbin sponsors the Sexual Health Nurse of the Year and provides support for many educational events.
In December 2014, Durbin purchased the US pharmaceutical wholesaler http://www.ptsi-usa.com which enables it to pass on best prices for US products to clients around the world.
Leslie is a visiting fellow at Cass Business School, specialising in lecturing in philanthropic issues. He also works with several banks and other financial companies to promote entrepreneurial giving.
